German citizen as the owner of the villa in the traditional village Padangbai in Karangasem regency, Bali, asked to disassemble pool that was built near Penataran Agung Temple for disturbing the sanctity of the places of worship of Hindus.
“Purity pretending to be the main reason people kept demanding the demolition of the pool,” said the chief Padangbai Kadek Aris Suyasa, Thursday (8/8).
According to him, the building’s swimming pool is feared higher burst and water flooded the temple area.
“The pool was constructed from two months ago. If not immediately dismantled, ‘manners’ (citizens) own customs which later will act, “said Aris.
Demands that directly responded to Zubaidah (61) from Palembang, South Sumatra, who was married to Nicholas (70), a German citizen, before the “manners” customary went further.
Aris revealed that Nicholas lived in Padangbai since nine years ago. He and his wife build a villa on the approval of the Village People Padangbai because the distance to the temple about 100 meters.
But the construction of the pool is less than 100 meters from the temple. “Before building a swimming pool, we are warned,” he said.
The village has given a deadline until Friday (9/8) tomorrow to Nicholas to disassemble pool measuring 4 × 7 meters.
